Byzantine Music & Chant

Our Cathedral’s musical worship for many of the year’s services is led by our Protopsaltis, Dr. Nick Giannoukakis. One of the Greek Diaspora’s most renowned chantors and Byzantine musicians, and a Protopsaltis of our Metropolis, he always welcomes anyone with some knowledge of music to consider learning this 1,500 year-old tradition in the most faithful of expressions – that of the Mother Church – and to participate in our ecclesiastic services, at the analogion. Formal classes are held on most Tuesdays at 7 p.m.,
throughout the year, in the Cathedral annex.
